With the State of Illinois moving to Phase 5 of Reopening, we are considering implementing a few changes... These next three will begin after sufficient time and announcements have been made at In-Person Worship:
Screening is no longer a requirement at this time, and we are allowing congregational singing, as well as congregational responses during the worship service.
Assigned seating is no longer necessary, but we do ask that you abide by the "Social Distancing" rules and sit at the points where the Bibles are in the pew racks in front of you.

With the State of Illinois moving to Phase 5 of Reopening, we are considering implementing a few changes... These next three will begin after sufficient time and announcements have been made at In-Person Worship:
- A face-covering mask is still a good idea.
- If you have been vaccinated (and it has been at least 2 weeks since your final dose), you will have the option of not wearing the face mask while seated in the sanctuary, but we ask that you respect those who may be less comfortable without a mask.
- Consider, out of love and respect for your neighbor, wearing a mask when moving around inside the building.

Out of an abundance of caution, and for the protection of everyone involved, we ask that all follow a few simple rules...
A face mask is required at all times while inside the building.
When you come for the worship service, remember to pull up in the main entrance drive so you can go through the screening process before parking your car (yes, even the Pastor gets screened!). The screening sheet is HERE (screening_questionaire.pdf) so you are aware of what of what will be asked as well as having your temperature taken. If you pass the screening, you will be given your screening sheet. You will then park and enter the building where you will be given the materials necessary for worship and assigned a pew.
You can proceed upstairs where you will be directed to your seat by the Elder.
When the service is over, we ask that you leave from rear to front. We are trying to minimize contact and keep distanced from one another for everyone's protection. We ask that you do not congregate inside the building, but rather exit and have your conversations outside.
At the present time, there is no singing or responses by the congregation unless otherwise stated by the Pastor.
It is not necessary to fill out an attendance card at this time, your screening sheet serves as your attendance card.
If you need to use the restroom, please use the restrooms located upstairs off of the narthex.
We hope to see you in church soon!
God's Blessings on your week!

Covid-19 Update: Tuesday, March 24, 2020 12:50 PM
Friends and Members of Our Redeemer: Tune in tomorrow, Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 7 PM for "Stay at Home" Worship Video #2 "Lent Midweek 4" "Murderous Eyes". We will spend take a look at the chief priests and scribes, who saw Jesus as an obstacle to be rid of by violence. Yet, during the Passover festival, they would unwittingly bring about the sacrifice of the ultimate Passover Lamb. How, then, should we view those who oppose the Gospel in our day? And how might these insights guide our prayers? Tune in tomorrow evening either on the video page of our web-site, or on our Facebook page. May God Bless and keep you all, Pastor Rod.
Covid-19 Update: Saturday, March 21, 2020 2:00 PM
Dear Members and Friends of Our Redeemer,
Grace and Peace to you from God our heavenly Father, and from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This afternoon Governor Pritzker issued an order for Illinois residents to “shelter in place” beginning at 5 PM TODAY, Saturday, March 21, 2020 and continuing through Tuesday, April 7, 2020. The governor went on to explain what “shelter in place means”. It means for example that we are able to go to the grocery store to get the food that we need, go to the pharmacy to pick up our prescriptions, or the gas station to fill up our cars. Banks will be open. We can still order carryout from our favorite restaurants.
But, not everything is business as usual. While it is essential to our faith and life as disciples of Christ to continue to receive the gifts of God for the endurance and strengthening of our faith, Governor Pritzker’s order necessitates that we use other means of technology in order to share God’s good news over the next 2 and a half weeks. Let me be clear, beginning TODAY, Saturday March 21st through at least Tuesday, April 7th there will be no in person events or worship services at Our Redeemer.
In light of this new temporary reality, from March 21st through April 7th I will provide through either online video or live streaming a brief Worship service each Sunday and Wednesday. Sundays video or live stream will be posted by 9:30 AM, while Wednesdays video will be posted by 7 PM on our web-site (www. Ourredeemerprospectheights.org) and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/OurRedeemerProspectHeights/). In addition, we may also look to set up a Bible study through a service such as Skype.
In addition to the items mentioned above, you can expect a phone call from me or another member of our church family in order to check in with each of you during the time when we cannot be together face to face. Please keep Our Redeemer, our state, nation, and all the world in your thoughts and prayers. Please check in on your neighbors and fellow church members by phone or text message. Ask if you can run a needed errand for them. If you need something done for you, a prescription picked up, or some groceries delivered, please don’t hesitate to call.
Lastly, I want to thank all of you for the tithes and the offerings that have supported Our Redeemer over the 6 years of my tenure, and many other years as well. During this unprecedented time in our day I ask you to continue to support Our Redeemer during this time which we cannot meet in person. Tithes and offerings can be mailed to church, or dropped off at the church, during office hours: Tuesday through Thursday from 9 AM to 3 PM. Please do not make a special trip to Our Redeemer to drop off your tithe or offering. We would ask that when you are out doing essential tasks such as grocery shopping, going to the bank, or the pharmacy we would love to have you stop in. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.
In Christ’s Love and Service,
The Board of Directors, and the Elders of Our Redeemer
PS: If you are sick, hospitalized or in need of Pastoral care, please call Pastor, the church office, or one of the Elders.
